Bestseller Spartacus!

I’m delighted to say that Spartacus: The Gladiator has entered the UK Bestseller charts at Number Four! HURRAH! Very very pleased. A huge thank you to all of you, who have parted with your hard-earned dosh to buy copies of it. I really appreciate your support. Cheers!

PLUS – watch the Spartacus trailer here. It’s very good, I think. Very Blood & Sand/300 style!

(BTW, the post about the Aula Palatina in Trier is now up, for those who want to stop at another place in my virtual tour of the town – we already got the amphitheatre and the Roman Bridge.)

That is fantastic news Ben. I’d just come home from work rather bleary-eyed, and I’m that pleased it’s brought me back to life again! Now the problem is…..sleeping! I suppose I could use that time for finishing Russ’ Gladiatrix if I can’t do that. But what’s most important is that I’m really pleased for you Mate, and again, well done. Let’s now hope Tony does equally well in April.

I must confess I haven’t got my copy of Spartacus just yet, but I can’t wait to get it. With the new TV series on as well, I think your new release will add further impetus to a “Spartacus mania” (honestly). With the rate at which you’re going, and the quality of your hard work that results in such excellent novels, I firmly believe you’ve got better things to come, and what a way to earn it! Now let’s see if you could get to No1 with the help my copy!

@cereza671: please, call me Ben! Glad you’re enjoying Blood and Sand. I still have to see it – but won’t even start it until I’ve finished this second book. Enjoy and best wishes to you too!

Ben, it was a cracking start to Spartacus: Blood & Sand last night! It seemed more grown up and mature, less ‘300’ type blood scenes and gratuitous sex although there was enough! I envy you that you haven’t seen them yet, your in for a treat!

@John: Great that it’s good, but argghh. I hate this waiting to see it! At this rate, the second series will be out on DVD before I’m ready to see it. I suppose that’s good, however, as I’ll be able to see the prequel series, and then two full series back to back. *DVD watching frenzy for a week or so!*

Ben, I meant Spartacus: Vengeance! Andy Whitfiield’s replacement (RIP) is very good in the role as well by the way and soon after it began I forgot about the enforced change in actors. I’m nearly halfway through your book by the way (work keeps getting in the way) cracking read so far!

Just got it Ben (Spartacus) – the postman left it in the shed, so it won’t be long now before I tuck into it!

@John: yes, I know you meant Vengeance. It’s just that I haven’t even watched Blood and Sand – I feel like I’m missing out (the fact that I haven’t got Sky doesn’t count!). Anyway, I hope you continue to enjoy it. No spoilers, please!

Chuffed that you’re also tearing through my version of Spartacus 🙂

@Mike: great stuff – hope you get to it soon!
