2010 is already shaping up to be a busy year. So far, I’ll be appearing at:
Fishbourne Roman Palace, May 1-2. DONE!
Dorchester Roman weekend, May 22-23. DONE – in glorious sunshine.
York Roman Festival, May 29. DONE – in the rain.
Chedworth Roman villa, Glos., Sunday June 20. Got badly sunburnt, but had a great time!
Exeter Summer Festival, June 25-27. CANCELLED – well my appearance is, due to a family commitment.
Caerleon Roman fortress, July 3-4. Variable weather. My talk was broadcast live on the web, with people watching all over the world!
Kelmarsh Hall, Festival of Living History, July 17th, 11.30 am. English Heritage must have liked my talk last year, because they’ve asked me back! It went very well – talked to about 120 people. Spent the day chatting to Giles Kristian, author of the excellent Raven Viking novels, and selling shed loads of books. Love to go back next year.
Bodies in the Bookshop, Heffers, Cambridge, Thursday, July 15th, 6.00 pm. Met Harry Sidebottom, Simon Scarrow and David Gibbins!
Waterstone’s, The Galleries, Bristol. Book signing, Saturday August 28th, 11 am – 1 pm.
Toppings Bookshop, Bath, September 1st. Talk and book signing, 7.45 pm.
Waterstone’s, Bath. Book signing, Saturday September 4th, 11 am – 1 pm.
Historical Novel Society conference, October 17, Manchester. I’ll be on a panel with Harry Sidebottom, Robert Low and Douglas Jackson, talking about violence in writing. Way to go!
I’ll add more venues, and more exact details, as they come in…
